The adapter allows you to use the smaller sockets with an impact wrench.
Smaller tools with a 1/2" socket provide enough force to unscrew 30mm or 40mm Spirafix anchors. However, if you have used e.g. 50mm and 40mm Spirafix, you should have two different sized tools to hand. Thanks to the adapter from 3/4" to 1/2", this is not necessary as you can also use the smaller socket on a stronger tool.
